The project
An Electron desktop app for recording consultation calls held in Microsoft Teams. It runs in the system tray, detects when a meeting starts, and records it locally using the Recall.ai Desktop SDK, then uploads the recording to the cloud so the team can review it later through a custom backend.
Key features:
- Detects Teams meetings automatically and starts recording for scheduled consultations
- Asks before recording any other meeting, with a one-click Start Recording button
- Clear recording indicator in the app and system tray while a call is being recorded
- Stops automatically when the meeting ends and uploads the recording in the background
- Backend service that issues upload tokens and lists and retrieves past recordings
- Packaged as native installers for Windows (Squirrel) and macOS (DMG)
