The project

Set up Uptime Kuma to monitor a company's infrastructure from the outside. It runs on a separate server with a different hosting provider, so monitoring and alerts keep working even if the main servers go down.

What it monitors:

  • Public websites, landing pages, and web apps, including SSL certificate expiry
  • Backend APIs and internal tools
  • Server health, the load balancer, and database replication status
  • Mail server availability

Notable features:

  • Checks every 60 seconds, with response time history and uptime for 24 hours, 30 days, and 1 year
  • Email alerts as soon as a service goes down or recovers
  • Independent of the infrastructure it watches, so a single outage can't hide itself
